Improvising on Purpose
We improvise all the time. On purpose and by accident.
We often don’t have the luxury of time to ponder a response. Improvisers have developed a set of approaches and agreements designed to create a ‘culture’ of innovation and collaboration. People who are able to take improv principles, embrace them and actually use them become even more skilled at connecting with others, generating juicy ideas, and accessing their creative hotspots. Jodi Cohen, noted improviser, performer and teacher, delivers keynote addresses and leads workshops designed to help translate improv principles into experiences that will open up new ways to think, respond, and behave. This improv stuff is simple, profound and user-friendly, inspiring fresh ideas for and solutions to the “same old, same old” situations and challenges, and creating a deeper respect for the myriad of ways we listen to each other.
